Investment : 6.30 Crore
Project Description
The technology to be used is Supercritical Fluid Extraction using CO2 as a solvent. Supercritical fluid extraction technology with CO2 as the solvent has emerged as a superior alternative to conventional technologies like solvent extraction with solvents like hexane. A supercritical fluid is a state where the CO2 (in this case) is above its critical temperature and critical pressure. In this state, CO2 is neither a gas nor liquid but can effuse through solids like a gas and dissolve materials like a liquid. The dissolving properties can be altered by varying the temperature and pressure allowing for selective extraction from various raw materials. Thus it is a very versatile technology and several products can be targeted for extraction.
Finished Product: Curcumin from Turmeric, Clove Oil, Black Pepper Oil and Oleoresin, Ginger Oil and Oleoresin, Vanilla Essential Oil, Cardamom Essential Oil, Nutmeg Essential Oil and Oleoresin and many more herbs, Spices, Flowers, and Fruit Seeds
