Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, FPI Shri @nstomar addressed the virtual meet on ‘Value Chain Creation for Kiwi Fruit – Farm to Fork’ today; says persistent efforts should be made by all to ensure Nagaland can emerge as the ‘Kiwi State’ of India.
Shri Tomar also said to strengthen PM’s vision and mission of creating an #AtmanirbharBharat, by providing handholding support to #Kiwi farmers across the country

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries providing grant/subsidy for the Food Industry, Following are the details of the scheme(s) which is open for North Eastern Region only.
(A) “Scheme for Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure"
a. MoFPI is providing subsidy @50% for Storage Infrastructure and @75% for Value Addition and Processing Infrastructure with the capping of Rs. 10 Cr.
b. Integrated Pack House, Ripening Chamber, Cold Storage/ CA Storage, Frozen Storage, Deep Freezers, IQF Line, Tunnel Freezer, Vacuum Freeze Drying, Milk Processing Unit, Poultry/ Meat/ Fish Processing Unit etc are the facilities under the scheme.
c. The Net Worth of the applicant should be at least 1.5 times of the grant applied for.
d. The Grant will be provided for Technical Civil Work and Eligible Plant & Machinery.
e. Grant will be release in Three Installments in respect of 25%, 40% and 35%.
(B) “Scheme for Creation of Backward and Forward Linkages”
a. MoFPI is providing subsidy @50% for Technical Civil work and Eligible Plant and Machinery with the capping of Rs. 5 Cr.
i. Integrated Pack-House, Milk Chilling Centre/ Bulk Milk Cooler, Pre Cooling Unit/ Chillers, Reefer Boats, Machinery & Equipment for Minimal Processing and/or Value addition such as Cutting, Dicing, Slicing, Pickling, Drying, Pulping, Canning, waxing etc., Machinery & Equipment for Packing/ Packaging etc are as an backward linkages components
ii. Retail Chain of outlets with the facilities as Frozen Storage, Deep Freezers, Cold Room, Display Cabinets, packing and packaging etc etc are as an Forward Linkages Components.
iii. Refrigerated/ Insulated transport/ Reefer Vans are the for Transport facilities.
c. Grant will be release in Three Installments in respect of 25%, 40% and 35%.
